Before you book
- You need a California instruction permit or California driver's license to take lessons. A license from another country isn't enough on its own.
- Cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours ahead and you keep the lesson for later. Refunds are minus a $49.99 fee, unless we can't provide your lessons.
- After you pay, we'll contact you the same day, usually within a few hours, to confirm your exact address, date, and time. If we can't pick up at that address, you get a full refund.

California licensing
A foreign license doesn't convert automatically
A foreign driver's license or international driving permit does not automatically convert into a California driver's license. If you intend to become a California resident and drive in California, the California DMV requires you to apply for a California driver's license. LLG can provide general guidance and driving-test preparation, but the California DMV determines licensing requirements, document eligibility, and application decisions.

FAQ
Questions international drivers ask
Can I take a lesson with a foreign driver's license?
No. You need a California instruction permit or California driver's license. A foreign license or international driving permit isn't enough on its own, so get your California permit before you book.
Which lesson option should I choose?
Choose the two-hour lesson if you want an evaluation, a refresher, or help with specific skills. Choose the six-hour package if you want more practice adapting to California roads and building consistent driving habits.
Can the lessons focus on freeway driving?
Yes, when freeway practice matches your goals and the instructor determines that you are ready. Training may include entering, merging, changing lanes, maintaining speed, and exiting safely.
Can you help me prepare for the California DMV driving test?
Yes. Lessons can focus on vehicle control, observation, intersections, lane changes, parking, and other skills evaluated during the driving test. Passing cannot be guaranteed.
Do you help with the DMV written test?
We can provide general guidance about California road rules and the licensing process. Official written-test preparation should also include the current California Driver's Handbook and DMV practice materials.
